Production of the new Mad Max film has finished in the African desert and Australian company, Lateral Linking were engaged to provide wireless systems for the production.
Greg Roberts is the Technical RF supervisor on the film and used Link L1500 transmitters to relay pictures from various vehicles back to the production trucks and despite the extreme temperatures and dust the systems never missed a beat.
Some of the shots took place many kilometres from the main site and yet the L1500's only used the 200mW PAs.
The producers are looking to put on screen all the big action car stunts that people have come to expect from a Mad Max film and the desert locations offered plenty of scope to do just that.
Production took place in Namibia and on locations in Australia over the past year. British actor Tom Hardy will be in the role of Mad Max and the film is due for release in 2015.
