Vislink partner NEP Sweden was at the iconic 3 Mills Studios in London from January 31st to February 16th, 2020 covering the BLAST Premier Spring Series, a major international esports event. It featured the world’s 12 top esports teams competing against each other in the first-person shooter game series Counter-Strike.
NEP was there to film this exciting gaming event using one of their new Vislink HCAMs on a Steadicam rig feeding into a ULRX-LD, working together with a Grass Valley LDX-86N camera controlled via Vislink’s FocalPoint Camera Control System. The format for the event was 1080P 59.94, the format used for esports tournament live streams.
The NEP Sweden Truck will now head to Tokyo for the 2020 Summer Olympics together with their Vislink Kit!
Split into groups of four, each week saw four teams compete against each other in an attempt to qualify for the BLAST Premier Spring Final in June and the Global Final later in the year. BLAST Premier is a global competitive circuit of Counter-Strike events with a total prize pool of $4,250,000, and is organized by BLAST, an esports entertainment platform.
