Vislink’s Advent Satcom Equipment Broadcasts Historic Papal United Arab Emirates Visit Around the World

Earlier this month, Pope Francis made a landmark visit to the United Arab Emirates, marking the first time a leader of the Catholic Church visited the Arabian Peninsula. The massive international interest in the event was evidenced by the over 700 journalists from 30 countries who arrived to cover the Pope’s visit. IMT Vislink’s Advent satellite communications systems played a key role in broadcasting images from this noteworthy event to viewers around the world. A number of Advent-branded terminals were in use in the press compound over the course of the event.
