The fans were treated to a classic race at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, as reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo ended Marc Marquez´s winning streak by just 0.081 seconds.
The two riders had been evenly matched for most of the race, with Lorenzo ahead from the start until, with less than three laps to go, Marquez took the lead. Lorenzo regained the advantage on the next lap and as the two riders headed into the final complex of corners on the last lap, Marquez grabbed the lead at Brooklands, before Lorenzo re-passed in a confident move at Luffield and managed to just make it across the finish line first.
Meanwhile, local hero Cal Crutchlow finished a distant seventh, after suffering a number of crashes during the weekend to the disappointment of the home fans, however they had plenty to shout about in the Moto2 race, which was won by Britain´s Scott Redding, strengthening his championship lead in that class.
The weekend also provided a good opportunity for Vislink staff to attend the race and see the exceptional products they helped create being used in the field. Vislink´s Gigawave brand has been the official RF supplier to MotoGP for many years, and Executive Chairman, John Hawkins, was also in attendance helping to cement the relationship and reaffirming both companies´ relentless drive for perfection.
