NAB 2022 Recap: Finally Back in Person!
May 5, 2022

Award-Winning Products, Latest Innovations on Display and Other Highlights

By all measures, NAB 2022 was a very successful show for Vislink. This was the first major North American event that brought our worldwide teams together in the same place, as well as the first time we have had the opportunity to welcome many of our clients in person since the pandemic began. We recorded hundreds of meetings at our booth: Quite a few old business relationships were refreshed, and many new ones were initiated. This was also the first opportunity we had to showcase publicly the complete portfolio of Vislink and Mobile Viewpoint solutions for live production, AI-powered systems and bonded cellular /5G innovations for live streaming content.

With our show theme of Revolutionizing Wireless IP Remote Production, there was a steady buzz around all the product displays and demos in our booth. Our Mobile Viewpoint AI-powered offerings were extremely popular with attendees. The IQ SportsProducer AI-assisted automated live sports production and streaming solution was chosen Best AI Livestreaming Solution at NAB 2022 by Videomaker Magazine. IQ Sports Producer and the vPilot studio content production system are the first automated solutions that bring together premium-quality cameras and production efficiencies to provide capture, live streaming and monetization of content across all channels and platforms.

We received a lot of interest at our display of the AeroLink air-to-ground system for live news and sports applications. AeroLink is the world’s first bi-directional COFDM/5G/Mesh system that provides breaking news and sports aerial coverage and with seamless distribution to all platforms. Equally effective in both law enforcement/public safety and newsgathering environments, AeroLink is becoming the new standard in capturing and transmitting footage of events on the ground as they happen, with unrivalled reliability and video quality.

We also showcased our scene-to-screen unified-workflow solution for capturing and managing live content. Featuring our Quantum receiver and LinkMatrix device and content management platform, the solution seamlessly integrates COFDM wireless camera systems and bonded cellular/5G roaming camera systems into a single managed solution.

Some of our other popular solutions, including HCAM, the most widely deployed HEVC 4K UHD wireless transmitter (itself a previous product award winner at the last in-person NAB show), and IPLink 3.0, our top-selling ATSC 3.0-ready digital video microwave system, were also proudly displayed. Our full suite of live streaming bonded cellular and 5G products, including the Mobile Viewpoint Baselink, were also showcased to the audience.

Overall, NAB 2022 was an outstanding venue for Vislink to display its game changing solutions in all-IP remote production, AI-powered systems, and bonded cellular/5G products. We look forward to many follow-up discussions with broadcast professionals we spoke to at NAB about how we can help solve their business challenges.
