For one of the world’s most recognisable live entertainment events, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 demanded flawless, cinematic-quality wireless coverage. The production team turned to the Vislink HCAM to deliver uncompromised 4K images across a complex, fast-moving, multi-platform broadcast.
The event, staged in October 2025 in New York City, reached a global audience of more than five million viewers across television, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and the full suite of Victoria’s Secret digital channels. With a 1 hour 45 minute show featuring world-class performers including Missy Elliot and Madison Beer, back-to-back runway moments, and simultaneous digital-only content creation, reliability and image quality were non-negotiable.
The Challenge
The production presented a demanding environment:
- Deliver broadcast-grade 4K in a congested RF environment
- Live broadcast across multiple platforms with differing formats and delivery workflows
- A constantly moving stage environment with musicians, models, and roaming Steadicam units
- Heavy RF congestion typical of major events
Solution
Steadicam operator Matt Trujillo was tasked with delivering key dynamic shots that helped define the aesthetic of the live show. His movements needed the freedom of wireless, but without sacrificing the pristine look expected of a premium 4K production. Matt chose his regular steadicam setup including the HCAM 4K wireless transmitter to capture the show’s core moving shots. Its lightweight design, low latency, and robust RF performance enabled seamless operation across the runway, musical acts, backstage sequences and Pink Carpet arrivals.
The HCAM provided ultra-low latency, ensuring perfect timing for live musical performances and runway choreography, while its lightweight form was a great help to the steadicam operators who needed to keep operational for extended periods to deliver all the primary footage for the broadcast, including rapid transitions between the runway, live musical acts and backstage activity, to add to the earlier ‘Pink Carpet’ arrivals.
