Vislink’s technology was recently used at the heart of a fast-paced marquee auto racing event. This time, it was the Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours, the premier GT endurance race in the Middle East. The event took place from December 8-10 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, home to the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and one of the most technologically advanced tracks in the world.
The race featured three categories of driver crews, all competing with GT3 racing cars. The cars, based on their roadgoing counterparts, are known for their impressive power and pinpoint precision. To capture the essence of this thrilling event, Vislink live video transmission equipment, including the HCAM 4K UHD Camera Transmitter and Quantum IP-native wireless camera receiver, was deployed to cover the action.
Partnering with Vislink on this project was Media Mania Productions, a leading multi-media house in the Middle East. Media Mania has a wealth of experience creating high-end video productions, from TV broadcasting to livestreaming corporate events. Their comprehensive services range from OB van design, pre-production, and 4K content creation to full post-production.
