At IBC earlier this month, we enjoyed showcasing our latest innovations in live video capture and transmission.
Vislink debuted its new miniature transmitter, DragonFly V, developed to revolutionize live broadcast capabilities. This lightweight, compact device, available in 5G and RF variants, is designed for drone and body-worn camera applications, offering ultra-low latency, robust video transmission, and exceptional durability in challenging environments. Its advanced features, including 4K resolution support and extended range, make it ideal for live sports, news coverage, and dynamic content capture. We were delighted to see so much interest in DragonFly V during the show.
One of our most discussed new products was our INCAM-GV transmitter designed for Grass Valley’s LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF cameras. Both the RF and 5G versions of this new transmitter deliver full broadcast quality encoding at 4K UHD, 1080p, 1080i and 720p, and – supported by our camera control solutions – offer broadcasters enhanced flexibility, better image quality and reliable wireless transmission capabilities ideal for live production.
Our collaboration with Grass Valley is a significant step forward for live broadcast solutions, enabling broadcasters to leverage 5G and RF connectivity for greater production freedom, especially in dynamic environments like live sports and news broadcasts. The INCAM-GV integrates seamlessly with Grass Valley’s latest cameras, ensuring top-tier picture quality while reducing the need for traditional cables, which has long been a constraint in live event production.
At IBC, we also introduced other product developments, such as the CLIQ COFDM transmitter with support for DVB-T2, which enhances video reliability in fast-moving, challenging scenarios, such as motorsports and live event coverage. We even had a live demonstration on the stand, featuring one of the AI-driven cars featured in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League, proving how our technology performs at high-speed, in varying weather conditions, under physical duress. Our solution was also shortlisted for an IBC Innovation Award.
CEO Mickey Miller spoke to InBroadcast Media about Vislink’s position as a key supplier in the world of mission critical live production, covering both live broadcast, defence and public safety. Mickey discussed responding to customers’ needs for low-latency video provided by trusted, proven solutions, as demonstrated by recent deployments at the NFL Super Bowl, European Championships, Paris Olympics, Copa America and other major sporting and live events.
You may have noticed a different style to Vislink’s booth at IBC, and indeed to this very website. We are excited to have launched our new brand at IBC with our modernized new look aiming to further elevate brand awareness, differentiate Vislink from its competitors, and provide customers with an enhanced, user-friendly platform that simplifies finding and understanding the company’s market-leading solutions. If you have any feedback about our new brand, please do let us know.
