Vislink Technologies Showcases Advanced Connectivity At Satellite 2019
April 25, 2019

Extensive Range of Field-Proven Satellite and Wireless Transmission Solutions on Display

WASHINGTON, DC, APRIL 25, 2019 — Vislink Technologies will showcase a wide selection of its state-of-the-art products at Satellite 2019 (Booth 2429) May 6-9, 2019. The company’s presence at the show represents its continued commitment to bringing the next generation of satellite solutions to markets around the world. Vislink’s line-up includes the AirPro-75Ka satellite data terminal, IRD6200 receiver/decoder and DVE6100 encoder, MicroLite 2 HD transmitter and handheld DirectVu HD receiver/monitor. In addition, Vislink’s MSAT (man-portable satellite) antenna system will be on display at the SpacePath booth (2406).

The Vislink AirPro 75Ka is a small (.75m), low-cost, single-button deployment IP satellite data terminal for use with Eutelsat’s Tooway™ service. It can be roof-mounted on a small SUV and is easily installed in 15 minutes. It features a one-piece Eutelsat approved reflector, support for standard TRIA and new E-TRIA, one-click auto-acquisition technology and Viasat™ service agreements (final approval pending). AirPro is an ideal solution for disaster recovery and other quick-deploy operations.

Updates to Vislink’s satellite communications line will also be on display with the new DVE6100 encoder and IRD6200 receiver/decoder. The company’s DVE6100 is a compact, multi-format, multi-channel 4K HEVC exciter that is ideally suited for flyaway and vehicle-mounted applications where size and weight is at a premium. The IRD6200 is a compact, multi-format, multi-channel 4K integrated receiver/decoder (IRD) ideally suited to news and events applications where size, weight and channel density is at a premium. Both solutions offer ultimate satellite bandwidth efficiency by utilizing the latest HEVC video compression and DVB-S2X satellite modulation technology, allowing a 50-percent reduction in leased satellite bandwidth compared to MPEG-4, DVB-S2 technology – dramatically reducing satellite OPEX. The DVE6100 and IRD6200 are the smallest and lightest 4K UHD DVB-S2X exciter and 4K UHD HEVC DVB-S2X IRD on the market, respectively.

Vislink’s MicroLite 2 HD ultra-compact COFDM wireless transmitter and DirectVu HD COFDM (DVB-T compliant) diversity handheld receiver/monitor will also be on display at Satellite 2019. Featuring HD/SD-SDI and HDMI inputs with COFDM transmission in a small, lightweight chassis, the MicroLite 2 delivers up to 250mW of power, providing long-range, reliable HD video transmission. The company’s COFDM technology ensures the transmission of uninterrupted, live TV pictures over two miles Line-of-Sight (LOS), despite the effects of foliage, challenging terrain, buildings and other common non-line-of-sight limitations.

The DirectVu HD offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb MPEG-2/MPEG-4 decoding. The handheld unit displays COFDM video transmissions using a built-in nine-inch 16:9 format, bright, high resolution LCD screen. It also features an easy-to-use menu-driven interface designed with the user in mind. Much more than a COFDM handheld receiver, the DirectVu can send video over Ethernet to remote software or hardware decoders, allowing multiple remote viewers to monitor the same video simultaneously. An SDI output enables the user to view the incoming video on an external monitor if needed.

Vislink’s MSAT Man-Portable Data Terminal will be presented at the SpacePath booth. The MSAT is a highly portable tri-band satellite antenna system designed for rapid deployment in hostile environments. The MSAT’s small size and weight make it ideal for secure and non-secure satellite communications for a variety of applications.

As part of its presence at the show, the company will be giving away an Amazon Alexa through an at-booth raffle.
