Vislink 5G Wireless Technology Provided Premium-Quality, Low-Latency Mobile Video Connectivity for the Network Deployment

Mt. Olive, NJ — December 1, 2022 — Vislink is pleased to congratulate its technology partner BT Media and Broadcast for being a named a winner of a Broadcast Tech Innovation Award 2022. BT Media and Broadcast won the award, which was announced Nov. 29 in London, in the category Best Innovation Project for their deployment of a 5G private network at scale during the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Vislink participated in the trial with BT Media and Broadcast and the BBC, who demonstrated the standalone 5G private network for broadcast coverage of the Commonwealth Games.

Vislink provided its premium-quality, low-latency 5G wireless camera technology for use during the trail. It was the first time the technology had been implemented for an event of such a large scale anywhere in Europe and demonstrated the significant potential 5G holds for broadcasters.
